Bittersweet

Time passes on, and thus this morning I can sit down in my old pants without nearly busting the buttons. Who’d ever have thought losing weight would be sad for me?

  1. I know what you mean. Turned sideways to the mirror, I watched, in fascinated horror, as my stomach gradually flattened until (except for the crooked scar between my hipbones) it was impossible to tell I had ever been pregnant.

  2. sometimes the extra inches really bother me, but lately i have actually cherished them. they and my c-sec scar are all that’s left of my girls.
