About

Welcome. A long long not-so-long time ago, I was sad and angry. I am no longer the latter so often, though still sometimes the former. This blog has been a record of that transition.

On January 3rd, 2007, our firstborn son, Natan, was born and died after I went into pre-term labor. This blog began as a way to commemorate a year of mourning.

It continued through our subsequent pregnancy, which included a cerclage, progesterone shots, and several ptl scares. We welcomed our son, Samuel, on December 14th, 2007. Another son, Jonah, arrived in June of 2012. I’m done with pregnancy.

I am an academic historian, but hopefully transitioning to full-time writer and mom. I hope to continue blogging about parenting after loss, as well as about my changing career plans.

We will see where it all goes from there.
